momstown Edmonton once again headed to The Pan Tree and to the Callingwood Recreation Center for our fantastic Junior Chef program. This month, we took our Dr. Seuss theme and made some delicious Seuss-inspired treats. We made both Grinchy Chocolate Chip Cookies and Cat in the Hat fruit skewers! Both were huge hits with the kids and moms alike.
While our cookies were baking and our mouths were watering from the delicous smell, we made up our skewers. These skewers are very easy to make! The kids got to slice up their own banana and strawberry and then they each threaded them onto their skewers in an alternating fashion. Even the kids who are not big fruit fans were excited about their Cat in the Hat skewer! When the cookies came out of the oven, we had some very happy chefs! They all loved their Grinchy Chocolate Chip Cookies, and were so excited that they got to take some home as well!
